چکیده
The growth and aesthetic value of ornamental plant species used near coastlines are negatively influenced by salt spray. presence surfactants could enhance damage. To analyze the influences spray alone in combination with each other, individual Callistemon plants were subjected to different treatments for 8 weeks: a solution simulating composition seawater (salt spray), containing an anionic surfactant (surfactant), plus surfactants), deionized water (control). study influence climatic conditions, two growing periods, from January March (I CP) May July (II CP), established. Salt spray, or action, plants’ features cycle periods. percentage leaf damage significantly increased during II CP (~27%). Additionally, Na+ Cl? contents enhanced leaves both CPs, but roots only CP. gas exchanges treatments, especially CP, when reduction net photosynthesis due was observed starting second week stress. At end experiment, proline content treatments. In PCA revealed that morphological physiological parameters directly associated control whereas mineral biochemical correlated additive effect stress, compared did not appear be significant, exception II, some parameters, solubilization action favored higher temperatures.

Improving Effects of Salicylic Acid on Morphological, Physiological and Biochemical Responses of Salt-imposed Winter Jasmine
To investigate the positive effects of salicylic acid (SA) on morphological and biochemical traits of salinity stress-imposed winter jasmine, an experiment was conducted in a research greenhouse. The experiment was conducted using a factorial experiment based on completely randomized design with four levels of salinity stress (2, 4, 6, and 8 dS.m-1) as the first factor and different levels of S...

BACKGROUND Callistemon citrinus Curtis belongs to family Myrtaceae that has a great medicinal importance. In our previous work, fruits of Callistemon citrinus were reported to have relaxant (antispasmodic) activity. The current work describes the screening of fractions of the crude methanol extract for tracing spasmolytic constituents so that it shall help us for isolation of bioactive compound...
متن کاملPhysiological and biochemical responses of Hypericum perforatum to salt stress and salicylic acid spraying
Salinity is one of the main obstacles to the successful production of agricultural products. Hormonal compounds such as salicylic acid (SA) as plant growth regulators can have different physiological and biochemical effects in plants under salt stress. In present research, the effects of different concentrations of sodium chloride (2, 6 and 10 dS/m) and foliar application of SA (0, 0.25 and ...

BACKGROUND Callistemon citrinus (Curtis.) (Family- Myrtaceae) is a popular evergreen shrub in Bangladesh. In the present study, the leaves of this plant have been assessed comprehensively for free radical scavenging, thrombolytic and membrane stabilizing activities. METHODS The leaves were collected, powdered and extracted with methanol. The extract was then concentrated and successively frac...
